Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Women's Wing Launches Nationwide Campaign for Moral Revival

In a bid to reinforce moral values and address the erosion of ethical standards in society, the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Women's Wing has announced a nationwide campaign titled "Morality is Freedom." The month-long initiative will commence on September 1st and conclude on October 30th.

Addressing the campaign's objectives and activities, Ms. Farzana, head of the Women's Wing, emphasized the urgent need for a moral renaissance. She underscored the alarming trend of societal boundaries being breached in the name of freedom, leading to a disregard for ethical principles.

Ms. Farzana highlighted the fundamental tenets of morality within Islam, emphasizing the importance of self-accountability, maintaining appropriate distance between men and women, and upholding the sanctity of marriage. She condemned the prevalent boyfriend-girlfriend culture, which she deemed incompatible with Islamic values.

"The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, 'Every religion has a distinct characteristic, and the distinct characteristic of Islam is modesty,'" Ms. Farzana quoted. She urged Muslims to protect the natural sense of modesty in their children and to adhere to Islamic principles in dress and lifestyle.

The campaign will feature a series of activities, including seminars, door-to-door visits, youth outreach programs, and Quranic studies. By engaging with parents, students, and the broader community, the Women's Wing aims to foster a renewed commitment to moral values and create a more virtuous society.
