Inspiring Words from Dr. Rafiullah Baig: Empowering Students with Knowledge and Life Skills
"Training children without Love is a Sign of Rebellion"
"Holistic Education: Dr. Rafi Sir Teaches Life Skills and Moral Values Beyond Academics"
Bangalore: In an enlightening "Excel Workshop" organized by Dr. Rafiullah Baig of Success Minds at the Abbas Khan College campus, students and parents gathered for a transformative session on the difference between academics and holistic education. Dr. Rafi Sir highlighted the need for moral education and life skills, urging parents to take an active role in shaping their children's future beyond just academics.
"Children may learn subjects in school, but
the true essence of education, which includes values, empathy, and life skills,
is often missed. This gap occurs when parents don’t dedicate enough time to
guide their children," Dr. Rafi stated. He cited examples of students
relying on shortcuts like using AI tools, such as ChatGPT, for homework.
"This happens when children are not nurtured properly at home. Parents
must give their valuable time and care to ensure the proper growth of their
children."
"Guiding Children with Love is the Key to Unlocking Their True Potential"
During his address, Dr. Rafi offered profound insights on parenting: "Remember, God has not created any child to be weak or a failure. Some parents lament that their children lack focus or are influenced by bad company. But why does this happen? Often, it’s because parents unknowingly practice harsh or rigid parenting, which leads to resentment. Parenting without love is not parenting, for "Training children without Love is a sign of Rebellion". True guidance comes through love, patience, and understanding."
Drawing inspiration from the teachings of Prophet
Muhammad (PBUH), Dr. Rafi emphasized: "Our beloved Prophet, a 'Mercy to
the Worlds,' never scolded or abused children. So why, as his followers, do we?
As parents, we must embody patience and kindness, ensuring our children thrive
in an environment of love and support."
"Empowering Children through Love Leads
to Lifelong Success"
He also touched on parents' desires for their children to excel in competitive exams like NEET, JEE, and CET, becoming doctors or engineers. "But when will they learn to be good human beings, to value their parents and embrace strong morals?" he questioned. "In the race for academic success, we often neglect character-building and essential life skills. Workshops like these provide an opportunity for children to grow holistically, developing memory skills, public speaking, and a deeper sense of responsibility, as we saw today when students demonstrated incredible memory techniques, reading 25 words in just 8 seconds."
Dr. Rafi concluded his address with a powerful message: "Parents, alongside academics, ensure your children are learning the values and skills that will help them become compassionate, capable, and morally strong individuals. Together, we can build a generation that not only excels in knowledge but also in character."
The workshop was a remarkable success, leaving
parents and students inspired to pursue not just academic excellence but a
well-rounded, value-driven life.
